hmm. i went to watch THE WARLORDS. starring andy lau, jet li and takeshi kaneshiro (he's half taiwanese, half jap btw). was a good show. all about brotherhood, loyalty and all. but it showed something that was very true. the corruption of power and the ugliness of human nature. which i have seen alot of in this very past week.
lesson no.1 from the WARLORDS - guard against EVERYONE.as of all chinese movies, theres always this pretty sis-in-law that everyone's fond of. and yea, it happens too in the show. andy lau's wife has an affair with jet li. jet li ends up having to kill andy lau in the later part of the show in hopes of ascending the governor of jiangsu with the beau in hand too. well. takeshi kaneshiro finds out of the affair, kills the wife in hopes that the two brothers dun fight. too bad. andy lau still dies.
worst of all, he dies a wrongful death. cos he doesnt know that his wife is having an affair with his sworn BROTHER. and he rushes off to a deserted place to save his brother (he had news that his brother was gonna get assasinated by another guy, so hes hiding in some obscure village) only to get ambushed by ppl sent by his brother. oh well. life sux.

lesson no.2 from the WARLORDS - power corrupts.jet li actually began with great lofty ideals in the beginning. rid the world of poverty. dun let ppl get unjustly beaten up etc etc. BUT slowly as he climbed to the top, the decisions that he made became less justified. seemed to serve his own agenda more.
i feel that its only human to be selfish. but how much can we sit back and leave our nature to justify our actions. talk is cheap though. its not as simple as it seems. how can one maintain a clean slate when in power. hmmm.
well, the new year is coming. maybe i'll reflect more as the year draws to an end. meanwhile its dota.

ahh. three days. to my CAs, before i become free. there are so many things i wanna do after my CAs. its gonna be playtime for REUBEN! cooped up in the damned blardy house for so long. just for 3 blardy MCQ papers. 20qns, 20qns + 1 structured qn and one last 40qn paper for anatomy. darn it. i better do well cos reubs is destined to be a good doctor.
i wanna cut my hair soon. damn long and damn disgusting. cant even wax it up anymore. as much as i like MANGA hair, i find that its near impossible to do the gravity-defying styles in animes. Newton's Laws just dun allow for such creativity in hair styling. or maybe i just lack the skill. lol.
i wanna dye my hair soon! colour colour. black is too boring. maybe ash? maybe brown. i dunno. or my perennial favourite, red. which will eventually fade to brown by the time school starts, so its alright. =) whee. i am excited.
i needa drive alotalot. i just booked a slot for driving on the 10th of october starting at 0950 and ending at 1955. yes you heard right. its a freaking 10hour long shit thing at BBDC. i have like 4 theory lessons to attend. which is STUPID. cos it made me waste like 70bux when i have already passed my final theory. dumb shit. and 7 hours of my time.
i wanna get my exams over and done with. then i can party. one month holiday. time to gain weight and get a tan. then theres the OT2 performance at the beginning of january. i cant wait for that too. =) life is good. after exams that is. AHHHH.
