since its bio tomorrow and i'm so bored. here's something i thought of.. this comes from Jeanne Teh's Photosynthesis notes page 7.
===================
"P680 and P700 are actually identical chlorophyll a molecules. It is their association with different proteins in the thylakoid membrane that affects the electron distribution in the chlorophyll molecules and accounts for the slight difference in light-absorbing properties."
the modified version:
"
Zhunrui and
Zhunwei are actually identical
twins. It is their association with different
people in
their lives that affects the
sexual orientation in the
twins and accounts for the slight difference in their
tendencies."
===================
"ATP synthase is the same as in the inner mitochondrial membrane, except for its orientation. While the head of ATP synthase in the mitochondrial membrane faces inwards, into the matrix of the mitochondrion, the ATP synthase in the thylakoid membrane faces outwards, into the strome of the chloroplast."
the modified version:
"
Zhunwei is the same as
Zhunrui, except for its orientation. While the "head" of
Zhunwei in
his tight shorts prefers (ugly)
boys, snuggled into the matrix of their "mitochondrion", the
zhunrui in an
act cute manner embraces (fat) people, allowing
stubs entry into the strome of his "chloroplast"."

its not supposed to make sense. =X lol. boredom brings out the worst in people.

today is not the best day of my life. i just took physics commontest. first there was a great surprise. the MCQ would be collected after 30minutes. LIKE WTF?! they didnt warn us of this thing beforehand and in the A levels, it wouldnt be the case either. must be part of their plan to train us and all that shit. =X argh. then i became kanchiong. cos i couldnt sleep the last nite (after tossing and turning like about 4am) and having to wake up at 7am, i was a WEE bit groggy. understatement of the year. and i shaded my OMR sheet wrongly cos i didnt leave a space for the question i skipped. ARGHASGDAHSGDHAG.
tmr will hopefully be a better day. better biology. =X

my hiatus in blogging shows that i've been mugging very hard and not been playing dota everyday (i wish) =X first and foremost, today's huili's birthday, so happy birthday girl! i cant rmb ur age, but hey, its a good thing ok. i read somewhere that politicians remember a woman's birthday but never her age. =) hehehe. hope that u'll have fun today. =)
i'm proud of myself. i was SUPPOSED to finish all of physics todae. but didnt get round to doing it. i seem unable to stick by my mugging schedules ALL the time. ever since the first commontest last year. hrmmph. =X hafta do sth abt it.
lifes been good so far. mugging day in day out. ok shant make it sound like i've been doing a hell load of work cos i noe i havent. =X mmhmm being online @ 3am has its merits. other than the fact that there arent many things to distract u at this unearthly hour, and the air is cool and the place is quiet, ur physics tutor might just be online marking SPAs and since i'm revising physics, i've got on the spot answers to my questions. =) yay. benefits of having teachers on ur msn.
talking abt which, last sundays newspaper or was it monday, had this article of some weird jc teacher talking about a students sexy legs on some messaging system. like wtf. it was a SCHOOL messaging system sommore. so dumb. teachers nowadays ah. =X lol. anw, dave sims too nice to talk abt my legs. so no worries. ahahah. =X
two more topics before i end the chapter for physics. analogue electronics, which i noe nuts about. and photons and quantum physics. i'm quite interested in that actually. that topics quite interesting and fun imo. found a few random things in readers digest. if u're free, go to
http://memoryedge.com/downloads/brain.exe and see which side of ur brain u use more. i happen to be a very centralised person.. =X i.e. both left and right hemispheres. got good and bad sides. more visual than audio. =)
something i read in reader's digest: making a frenship last between a man and a woman requires that you find each other at least vaguely repulsive. LOL.

If We Hold On TogetherDon't lose your way with each passing day
You've come so far, don't throw it away
Live believing, dreams are for weaving
Wonders are waiting to start
Live your story, Faith hope and glory
Hold to the truth in your heart
If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
Where clouds roll by, for you and I
Souls in the wind must learn how to bend
Seek out a star, hold on till the end
Valley, mountain, there is a fountain
Washes our tears all away
Worlds are swaying, someone is praying
Please let them come home to stay
If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
Where clouds roll by, for you and I
When we are out there in the dark
We'll dream about the sun
In the dark, we'll feel the light
Warm our hearts … Everyone
If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
As high as souls can fly
The clouds roll by, for you and I
=======================
just came back from the batam cip trip. though it hasnt been as fulfilling as the trip we did in sec 4, i think each trip has its ups and downs. and its not fair to compare what happened then and now, cos the ppl going were diff and the environment was not the same. in thailand the kids were much more mature and had a better command of the english language, hence the language barrier was much less prevalent as compared to this trip, where the kids were of primary sch age and spoke little or no english at all.
one of the high points of this trip was the balloon sculpture. i really felt good when i could make balloons for the kids. to us its really nothing much. balloons can be bought so easily back in singapore. but to them, when everyones clamouring for it. and you can actually see them smile when they get it, it really touched me alot. to be able to bring happiness to these people's faces. though not for a long time, but everyone needs a little happiness now and then to cheer up rite?
there was also a little mingling here and there with the kids. and there was this CUTEE little chinese boy and an equally cute chubby little malay girl, whom we dubbed pang4 niu1. hahah. so mean rite. but she was rather cute lah!
the company there was quite cool too. the geppers got one nice little room to ourselves. kinda mean.. but yea. thats life. the trip throughout was kinda cliquish. but as with ALL trips, there are definitely gonna be cliques rite. so it wasnt really out fault. the geppers were together for like how long already. so of course got clique lah. i mean. its like our comfort zone wad.
the first day was rather slack. it was more of a getting used to the resort kinda day. and planning for the week ahead thing. did nothing much. played bridge mahjong and spades. for some weird reason, the spirit of yihan was around. zr kept winning lor the first few games. DOY - disciple of yihan. lol.
then came the routine of which would follow for the next 5 days or so. we would wake up at 0800 batam time, sg time 0900. then eat breakfast and leave for the school, reaching at around 0900 batam time. the first day we walked there. the view was quite nice. could see the sea when we were walking there. and it was like walking through obstacle course. cos some parts got water and we couldnt walk through. and we had to walk along the ledge sometimes. very scary. in the end, shannon got the van to fetch us every morning after that. lol.
we taught them english. simple stuff like colours and days of the week. not bad. with my koyak malay and alot of mixing and matching of words. i could actually get my ideas across to these peepz. unlike the PM book prize winners who were unable to say a single shit despite supposedly being proficient in languages. wad a disgrace. =X it was quite funny. squawkin away cos half the time i couldnt understand them. and my favourite word was selamat tinggal which i used incessantly when i wanted to shoo the kids away after the end of my magic tricks. lol.
then the ppl at the resort sent catered lunch over. the food was not bad. just that the school had no FANS. and it was FREAKING hot the first day. wah. we were so unprepared. died in the afternoon blaze. everyone was like.. wahh. the cmi heat. plus there were SO MANY FLIES. never saw so many flies in my life before. so gross. flying around while u eat. had to get them away all the time. yucks.
then in the afternoon we'd play games with them. frisbee soccer and stuff. i cant imagine how the kids survive. some wear long sleeved shirts and long pants. WAHHh. i was like.. OMG. the sun is already killing me in tshirt and shorts. then.. the long sleeves seem to protect them from the sun? they defy laws of physics. and the teachers. clad in military uniform and armed with tudungs. they too dun seem to feel hot under the sweltering heat. tudungs have a cooling effect? no wad.. i dun see masayu under the sun alot..
then at around 3plus the van would come and fetch us back to the chalet. and i'd be the first to bathe. cos i feel so hot and sticky and all. then bathe liao i'll blow aircon and enjoy r&r until like 7plus 8 when dinner arrives. eat then reflections time and plan the next days activity before turning in. that was the routine we had.
the most relaxing time was actually on the ferry back. just on the deck, enjoying the breeze, watching the night sky. singing with the frens. and thinking about how that trip was gonna be the last trip we're gonna have. after all the cip trips together. sec 2 chiangmai. sec 3 malaysia. sec 4 chiangmai. j2 batam. and it marks the end of our overseas journeys together.
i'll always miss you.
take it up and put it down.
